Justice, equality and the law - the same for everyone! It's all clear, isn't it? Every professional and activist in the civil sector can associate themselves with these values. But how easy is it to work for and uphold the principles of the rule of law? And how do we engage communities and citizens with it so that we drive change?

These are the questions that the Impact Drive team and Dexis Consulting Group set out to develop a series of trainings to support NGO professionals in developing activities and engaging communities with rule of law themes and tasks.

The training focuses on building in-depth competencies in practitioners, activists, youth workers from CSOs to work with the EU's founding values, with a focus on law and justice. We offer a dynamic, experiential, values-based training that will allow us to test basic concepts and approaches and analyse the links between the rule of law and other fundamental values such as democracy, dignity, equality and human rights. We will learn about the main pillars of solidarity and the path to active citizenship and outline the possibilities for our work in Bulgaria.

The preliminary training program covers:

Justice as a human right and law from a personal perspective

The rule of law and intersection with fundamental European values

The rule of law in NGO work

Empowerment and promoting civic participation - from learning to practice

As developing competences involves building knowledge, skills and attitudes, we invite you to join this kind of 4 day team building, where we will borrow from informal learning, and engage you in experiential learning, discussions and role play case studies, with opportunities for self-assessment and learning. We'll challenge you to rethink your approaches to work and opportunities to build on, as well as network and open the way to different partnerships.

This training is designed for practitioners who design and implement projects and programmes in civil society organisations, youth workers, activists, mediators and experts dedicated to working with communities, as well as informal leaders who work for social justice and the rule of law and share pan-European values. Also suitable for supervisors and programme managers.
