Justice, equality and the law - the same for all! Everything is clear, right? Every professional and activist in the civil sector can associate themselves with these values. But how easy is it to work and uphold the principles of the rule of law? And how to engage communities and citizens with it, so as to drive change? How do you communicate the strict topic of law, legality, court and institutions?
These are the questions that the Impact Drive and Dexis Consulting Group team asked to develop a series of trainings to support NGO professionals in developing activities and engaging communities with the topics and tasks of the rule of law.
The training focuses on building in-depth competencies in practitioners, activists, youth workers from civil society organizations to work with the fundamental values of the EU, with a focus on law and justice. We offer you a dynamic, experiential, values-based learning experience that will allow us to test key concepts and approaches and analyze the connections between the rule of law and the practices and principles of accessible, engaging and connecting communication. We will focus on everyday life and communication on the topics of fairness, equality before and access to the law, transparency, care, absence of corruption and other aspects that define the rule of law.
The preliminary training program covers:
Rule of Law as a Daily Choice
Pathways of Law - Structures and Institutions
Defining Public Image and Messages to Society
Connecting the Dots in Social Justice
Practical Steps to Build Communication and Connectivity on the Rule of Law
Since developing competencies involves the accumulation of knowledge, skills and attitudes, we invite you to join this workshop, in which we will borrow from non-formal learning and engage you in experiences, discussions and role-plays, with opportunities for self-assessment and learning. We will challenge you to rethink your approaches to work and opportunities for upgrading, as well as to create contacts and open your path to different partnerships.
This training is intended for practitioners who create and implement projects and programs in civil society organizations, youth workers, activists, mediators and experts dedicated to working with communities, as well as informal leaders who work for social justice and the rule of law and share pan-European values. Also suitable for managers and program managers.
