DigiComs- the social initiative: learning and partnership opportunities

A new season is knocking at the door...

In today's dynamic digital world, successful communication is not just important - it is the heart of every NGO and social initiative. DigiComs, one of our most significant initiatives, is playing a key role in building a new generation of digital communicators ready to transform the NGO sector and the social economy.

Season 5 of DigiComs promises an even stronger program with an improved course structure and plenty of opportunities for hands-on work - we'll reveal all the details later in the article. To continue to grow the course, create better conditions for our speakers and participants, and reach even more people looking for engagement in the NGO and social sector, we rely on your support.

What does DigiComs offer?

DigiComs is no ordinary certificate course; it is an innovative resource that offers something unique for anyone who wants to get involved in the world of social change. Our programs are targeted to a wide range of people and organizations with different needs and interests.

Here's what we can offer for:

  • NGO Communicators: Access to tools and strategies for compelling storytelling and effectively reaching your audience.

  • Future Social Entrepreneurs: Join training programs that will equip you with the digital skills needed to bring socially responsible projects to life.

  • Private Companies: An opportunity to support or partner with socially focused communication projects, showcasing a true commitment to corporate social responsibility.

  • Job Seekers: DigiComs offers flexible job opportunities for women, students, and freelancers who want to make a positive impact through cause-driven work.

The program not only provides training but also builds a strong and connected community of digital communicators.

DigiComs: Season Four Summary

The fourth season of DigiComs, which launched in the fall of 2023 and concluded in the early summer of 2024, saw significant changes and improvements tailored to the needs of participants. As part of the rebranding, DigiComs introduced a new logo and fresh design to reflect the initiative's refreshed vision and goals, focused on building the skills and competencies for professional development of future digital communicators.

The season's programme included core and build-up modules covering key aspects of communication and digital marketing. Speakers with experience in various fields imparted knowledge on topics such as communication management , digital storytelling, fundraising strategies, SEO, and personal branding. In addition to the main program, participants could join thematic webinars presenting current topics and best practices featuring experts and practitioners.

The fourth season also highlighted the Impact Drive Foundation's commitment to equal opportunity. Traditionally, one of the participants went through the entire course with a full scholarship, and at the end of 2023 we received an individual donation of 1500 BGN, which provided another scholarship. This gave two women the opportunity to complete the programme, supporting one of our founding values - women's empowerment and equal opportunities.

The success story of Maria Stoimenova, one of the fellows, highlights the transformative impact of DigiComs. Through DigiComs, Maria was able to improve English Language Café 's (ELC) communication strategies and establish the organization as a recognizable brand. With the knowledge gained from the program, Maria created a Facebook page for ELC, increased followers, and developed a consistent plan to communicate with audiences. She shares, "DigiComs opened up a new world for me and gave me the knowledge and practical skills to grow ELC much more effectively."
