Building an Inclusive Resilient Democratic Society in Bulgaria (BIRDS in BG)

The WELLCORE project is an initiative focused on well-being, mental health, connection, and resilience among young people.
It is a European project under the Erasmus+ programme designed to address one of today's major challenges: the emotional well-being and mental health of young people. Through this project, four European organizations are collaborating to improve how we work with youth, focusing on key aspects such as resilience, interpersonal connection, and personal balance.

WELLCORE is developing an innovative training programme for professionals working with young people; this programme will subsequently be implemented across various countries to directly reach youth and local communities. The programme combines practical and participatory methodologies—incorporating tools such as experiential learning, movement, theatre, circus arts, acro-yoga, and group dynamics, alongside more individualized techniques—to offer more accessible and effective approaches. Furthermore, the project will foster collaboration among organizations, experts, and stakeholders in the youth sector, creating spaces for dialogue and strategic reflection on well-being in Europe.

As part of its core activities, WELLCORE will involve participation in the European Youth Well-being Festival, as well as national events and activities in each participating country. All project materials, resources, and results will be publicly available, contributing to improved quality in youth work and fostering a healthier, more inclusive, and connected society.
