"What is "Mama Ima Rabota"? What does WomenBridges mean? All these names get confusing. What stands for what? And what exactly is this Momgotajob group on Facebook about? Why should I stay in it, and how will it be useful to me? I'm in it and reading along, but I still can't quite figure out what the idea behind it is." Veselina answers all these questions in the next Momgotajob online conversation, which you can watch here: https://fb.watch/iylcCts3d1/.

Veselina talked about the history of Impact Drive Foundation, which turned five in December, with part of its mission being to build capacity among people and organizations and to train digital communicators. The focus of the conversation, however, was on another initiative of the foundation: Momgotajob, or Mama Ima Rabota (Mom Has a Job).

"Mama Ima Rabota" is a three-year-old initiative aimed at helping women reshape their way of life so as to achieve balance between their personal lives, family lives, and work. Working mothers, who carry the added responsibility of caring for their children, face even greater difficulty achieving this balance. In this online conversation, Veselina presented a talk introducing Anna, a composite figure representing working mothers in search of balance. After the presentation, Veselina outlined the solutions Momgotajob offers, namely the WomenBridges project.

WomenBridges is funded under the Erasmus+ program and was created in partnership with the Greek foundation "Women Do Business" and the Austrian foundation "Jamba - Career for all." The three foundations created the WomenBridges Buddy Program, a form of 1:1 mentoring. Any woman who needs support and advice can consult with one of our Buddies, our mentors, who have often walked the same path themselves and understand what matters to Anna. Many of our mentors joined the program last summer, after taking part in the WomenBridges Training of Trainers 2022 in Sofia, where the three organizations came together to train the first group of Buddies!

Momgotajob's initiatives continue at full strength: the online conversations with guest hosts on topics of interest to mothers and women in general, the in-person support groups in Sofia, and the 1:1 mentoring with our Buddies will all remain an important part of WomenBridges going forward!

Look out for articles on the rest of the Momgotajob online conversations!
